Justin Labonte has no Busch Series starts at Talladega but he has run one ARCA race there which was in 2001. In that race he started on the outside pole and was running third when an oil line came loose on the car.

Justin’s # 44 Coast Guard Shield of Freedom Chevrolet was one of the fastest Busch Series cars on the superspeedway at Daytona in February. Justin will have the same car for Talladega, another superspeedway.

Quoting Justin Labonte:

“The fact that we ran so well at Daytona has me pumped up for Talladega. My Coast Guard Chevrolet at Daytona was one of the best race cars I have ever driven. It was fast in testing, practice and the race. The Labonte-Haas Motorsports aero package with the Hendrick power makes for a good combination. If we can dodge the many wrecks they usually have in the race we can have a good day.”
